hi there, you can call me MEI. pronounced as May. no, don't pronounce it as "me", i will cut you. i'm Asian. whoa, shocker there. from Manila, Philippines to be exact. don't judge. it's a ~beautiful tropical paradise. i'm ahead by probably around 12 hours than most of you. which means, i'm from the future. i'm talking to your daughter right now. she hates you, btw. you should buy her that car.

frustrated writer. movie junkie. self-proclaimed fashion icon. 20 years old. and gets a year older every 12th of May. hence the name. my parents are clever~ like that.

basically, i'm a part of LJ only for communities. i don't blog much (or at all), but i visit my friends list as often as i could. :)

and lol, you got to read up until here? you're that bored, huh?

"When i cannot look at your face, I look at your feet. I love your feet because they walked upon the earth and upon the wind and upon the waters, until they found me." - Pablo Neruda, poet

"Have you ever been in love? Horrible, isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life. You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should be just friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. I hate love." - Rose Walker from The Sandman, by Neil Gaiman
